VERMONT PROJECTS

Our Legacy—Our Duty

Vermont is no ordinary state.

It’s a land carved out by visionaries and rebels who believed all people deserve more than mere survival—they deserve true freedom and the space to thrive.

In 1777, while much of the world still bowed to kings and slavers, Vermont’s founders—the Green Mountain Boys and our courageous ancestors—struck a bold new path. They wrote a constitution that outlawed slavery, established universal rights, and carved out a state that put people before power. They stood for truth, self-governance, and the idea that no person should live in chains—literal or bureaucratic.

This legacy is the foundation of the Shield of Souls Assembly.

We aren’t just an organization; we are the living continuation of this vision.

Our mission is to awaken, empower, and unite modern Vermonters—so that every person not only claims freedom, but flourishes in community, prosperity, and dignity.
